Rwanda’s GBON Upgrade | First SOFF-Financed Tender Delivered by Campbell Scientific

Overview

Rwanda has become the first country to successfully issue and deliver a GBON tender financed through the Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF)—and Campbell Scientific is proud to be part of this milestone. In this video, we take you behind the scenes of the installations. We also supported capacity building through on-site training, helping strengthen Rwanda’s long-term weather observation and climate resilience capabilities. This project is part of a global effort to close weather and climate data gaps in under-observed regions. This implementation was a collaboration with the Rwanda Meteorological Agency and supported by SOFF, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
