Areas of the Company

We hire talented people in five main areas.

Marketing

Sales and Marketing

Dedicated to our clients' missions, Sales and Marketing works closely with clients, engineering, and manufacturing to define, deliver, and support the industry's most trusted solutions. We take pride in serving as the voice of the customer during development and as trusted advisers during the sales and support processes. We work closely with Manufacturing to ensure both products and tailored solutions meet the exacting needs of the customer.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing

Our Manufacturing Department produces high-quality, highly reliable electronics and related mechanical assemblies. We use state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and advanced material resource planning systems to perform above industry standards. Our employees take pride in their work, which is reflected in the quality and reliability of our products and services. We employ both part-time students and full-time career employees for opportunities to work in electronic manufacturing, mechanical and systems assembly, precision cable and sensor assembly, materials and inventory control, machining, and sheet metal fabrication.

Client Services

Client Services

Our Client Services team is dedicated to helping our clients make data-driven, measurement-based decisions that impact the quality of life on our planet. Knowing our clients' applications are unique, we work collaboratively with them to select, install, configure, and maintain the right solutions. Using our global network of experts, we provide world-class technical support, consultation, programming, training, installation, maintenance, calibration, repair, and system design services.

Research and Development/Engineering

Research and Development/Engineering

Our product developers are committed to researching and applying relevant technology to meet the measurement instrumentation needs of our customers. We work closely with Marketing to ensure that our innovative designs solve real-world customer problems. In addition, we work in conjunction with Manufacturing to guarantee that quality is designed—and built—into each of our products. We place a high value on the technical performance of our designs, and we take pride in knowing that our customers trust our gear for its ruggedness and reliability. Our development teams include mechanical, electrical, and software specialists.

Administration

Administration

The Administration Department serves as the backbone of our organization. It is responsible for the flow of information from and to each department with a focus on budgets, expenses, and financial forecasts, as well as the recording and reporting of all business activity. This department includes financial accounting, payroll, and human resource information systems operations. Our employees are accountable and responsible for legal compliance across all business transactions, including finances, benefits, and employment activities.

Our Culture

We believe in working together to achieve common goals and in balancing our work lives with other interests in a healthy and manageable way. We believe in removing obstacles that interfere with productivity, celebrating milestones, and finding ways to make work more fun.

As an employee, you can expect clear and consistent communication with your manager about job expectations and the effect of your contributions toward our strategic initiatives.

Our Vision

Be the global supplier of choice in environmental and infrastructure monitoring solutions.

Our Employees

There are four characteristics that we look for in our potential employees:

  1. A passion for what we do as part of Campbell Scientific's mission
  2. A drive to constantly learn and grow
  3. A solid work ethic
  4. A mission of service to others

Diversity and Inclusion

Campbell Scientific is an equal opportunity employer, and it is our goal to make every employee feel valued, respected, and heard. Our diverse, mission-driven employees are unique, but we share a common passion for providing solutions and services that are designed to meet the measurement and monitoring needs of our customers. While we represent a diverse workforce across the globe, we also strive to be inclusive in our thoughts and actions as we interact with others.

Environmental Sustainability

When we talk about our commitment to environmental sustainability, we are referring to our mindfulness of the effect that we have on our environment and natural resources. As a company and as individuals, we make a conscious effort to produce the smallest environmental impact possible so that we may preserve our quality of life for present and future generations.

As a manufacturer of scientific measurement instruments, our products are used by scientists and researchers across the globe to make more informed, data-driven decisions that affect the future of our environment. Moreover, our products are used in the renewable energy market for solar and wind energy assessments so that we can lessen our dependence on non-renewable resources.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do I apply for a position?

We require all applicants to apply online. Applications are only accepted for active positions that are posted on our website. Each job posting includes a form that requests minimal but required information.

What items do I need for my application (cover letter, resume, references, etc.)?

Each job posting indicates the required documentation such as a resume, cover letter, and—in some cases—work samples. You only need to include what is required for the position you are applying to. An option for additional attachments may appear with some postings. You can add attachments in almost any traditional document format (Microsoft Word, PDF, HTML, etc.).

What do I do if I want to apply for more than one position?

If you are applying for multiple unrelated positions, submit individual applications with a job-appropriate resume for each. If you are applying for related positions, submit one application, and we will consider the best fit for your talents.

Do you respond to every applicant?

Yes. Our job application software allows us to respond to every candidate. First, we acknowledge that your application has been received. Then, we contact you again when the status of your application has been determined.

On average, how long does it take to be contacted if Campbell Scientific is interested in interviewing me?

As an applicant, after the acknowledgement of receipt of your application, you will typically not hear from us for up to two weeks. (This is generally the amount of time we take to collect applications.) If you are selected for an interview, you will receive an invitation by email. (Please be sure that you have provided us with a correct email address.) Continue to check your email inbox, as well as your spam or junk mail folder, for an update or interview invitation.

Resume Tips

The following are some tips to help you write your resume in a way that helps us get to know you and your qualifications:

Provide a personal summary.

Sometimes referred to as an “elevator speech” or “30-second me,” use this brief statement to describe your greatest strengths and strongest attributes as they may relate to the specific job you are interested in.

Identify your technical and functional skills.

These are the skills acquired over your career that apply directly to the position you are applying for. Include relevant certifications.

Describe your experience and accomplishments.

We need evidence of your achievements and responsibilities, both academic and professional. How does your experience relate to the job opportunity you are seeking?

Describe your education.

List your educational experience, including institutions and achievements.

Tell us about yourself and your interests.

We don't need a complete biography, but we do want to see a couple of items about your hobbies, interests, and activities outside of the office.

Keep it simple.

Keep your content focused on illustrating how you can help us, not why the job would be good for you personally.
