Overview
In January 2009, Campbell Scientific replaced this cable with the CABLE4CBL-L. The MUXPOWER-L was a 4-conductor cable that connected power terminals on the multiplexer (e.g., 12V, GND, RES, CLK) to power terminals and control ports on the data logger. The MUXPOWER cable and MUXSIGNAL cable were often used together for multiplexer operation.
Technical Description
The MUXPOWER was constructed out of Belden's 8723 cable. Belden's 8723 cable was chosen for its low capacitance and resistance specifications.
Cable description:
- 22 Gage Stranded Twisted, two Individually Shielded Pairs
- (7x30), Polypropylene Insulated, Beldfoil, 100% Shield Coverage, 24 AWG Common Drain Wire
- PVC Jacket
Because the MUXPOWER-L had a PVC jacket, a rodent-resistant conduit was recommended for outdoor use in areas where rodent activity occurred.
