Overview
Campbell Scientific's new EC150 Open-Path Gas Analyzer is recommended in place of the retired LI7500A.
The LI7500A is an open-path, nondispersive, infrared gas analyzer (IRGA). It has high speed and high precision, and accurately measures densities of carbon dioxide and water vapor in the air. In an eddy-covariance application, the LI7500A is used in conjunction with Campbell Scientific's CSAT3 sonic anemometer to determine CO2 and H2O fluxes.
Technical Description
The LI7500A is LI-COR's open-path, high-speed, high-precision, nondispersive-infrared gas analyzer (IRGA). It accurately measures the in-situ densities of carbon dioxide and water vapor in turbulent air structures. The LI7500A is typically measured with a CR800, CR850, CR1000, CR3000, or CR5000 datalogger.
In an eddy-covariance application, the LI7500A is used in conjunction with a CSAT3 Sonic Anemometer to determine CO2 and H2O fluxes. The primary components of the LI7500A are the sensor head and the electronics enclosure.
