Overview

The CM410 is used primarily to mount a pair of pyranometers to a driven pile, leveraging the CM275 Albedometer Mounting Kit. The included 20.32 cm (8.0 in.) hook bolts accommodate an I-beam style pile with flange dimensions 7.6 to 17.8 cm (3 to 7 in.), such as a W6x12. Albedo is a common measurement parameter selected for a SunSentry Solar Operational Meteorological Monitoring Station. Installation details, including the recommended pile exposure height and orientation, are found in the SunSentry Installation Guide. To minimize localized glare and reflections that can adversely influence albedo measurements, the all-black version of the CM410 is recommended for albedo.

Alternately, you can use the CM410 as a general mount, such as for the following sensors: an all-in-one weather sensor (ClimaVue series), a surveillance camera (CCFC), a snow-depth sensor (SnowVue10), or a temperature probe (TempVue series). Candidate mounting structures include a wood pole, the side of a building, a bridge girder, etc.

The CM410 has no finish. If you would like the same pile mount arm with a matte black finish, order the CM410-BF instead.
