Technical Description

With its advanced firmware algorithm, aMLC technology manipulates traditional MLC flash two bits each cell into one bit for improved performance. These performance improvements include overall upgrades, 13X endurance, 1.5X write performance, and 5X data retention improvement compared with traditional MLC cards. Moreover, aMLC memory is suitable for intensive write applications because of its increased endurance (40K P/E cycles) and enhanced write speed. In addition, aMLC memory is a reliable solution for read applications because of its faster read performance and Read Disturb Protector–AutoRefresh technology that simultaneously ensures the integrity of the data.

The aMLC memory cards pass a series of power-cycling tests and a thorough evaluation process. Each aMLC card undergoes a production-level burn-in test before it is shipped to customers.
