The RainVue™20 rain gage is equipped with field-replaceable reed switches that detect bucket tips by sensing the passing of the magnetic arms of the tipping mechanism. The 36429 may be purchased to replace failed reed switches or as part of a preventive maintenance program. These reed switches are constructed with an IP67-rated connector and are fully potted to ensure long life of the sensor.
