The 31055 adapts an RS-232/CPI RJ45 port to a DB9 pin (male) connector. This cable is offered to make it easier to connect a DCE serial device, such as a cellular modem, to the RS-232/CPI port.
Note: The RS-232/CPI port does not follow the popular EIA/TIA-561 or Cisco console port standard pin assignments. Use pn 31055 or 31056 when using the RS-232 functionality of an RS-232/CPI port.
